Ursula Patterson

Vice President
313-623-6325

I began my career at the USPS in 1992- 1996 as a TE LSM clerk, I resigned and returned to the USPS in 1999.  Upon return as a Mail Handler, I became a union steward in 2000 under the leadership of Mary Misuraca-Zerr.

I am a three term Branch President at the Michigan Metroplex, Chairperson of the Women’s Committee, arbitration technical assistant and an arbitration advocate.  I have attended several National meetings at my expense as to obtain whatever knowledge that could assist the Mail Handler Craft.  I have assisted employees with FMLA, OWCP, Light/Limited Duty, DRAC and addressing many adversities that we have been faced with.  I am a Detroit District Safety Captain, job instructor and pit instructor working.

I am on the National RI-399 task force and a part time college student at Central Michigan University striving for a degree in Business Administration.

My goal is to fight for the rights of all Mail Handlers at whatever facility they are employed.  I communicate effectively with all officers and assist wherever I can.  I believe we can all make it with one purpose and one goal for all.

Billy Genia

Treasurer
616-551-8387

A steward since his early days, Billy has been with the US Postal Service for over 16 years, and a Steward for over 14. When Billy was elected as Treasurer, the Local had a little over $100k in the bank and a vehicle that needed more work done than it was worth. In just five years, the Locals assets have grown to over $1,000,000, much of this due to the fine work of the entire Executive Board.

He has assisted in Local RI399 disputes in various areas and is an arbitration advocate and is anxiously waiting for his first case. A strong advocate of workplace safety and a fighter against hostile management. Having been victim of several unhinged members of management, Billy is always willing and ready to butt heads with management.

Billy is also a proud Veteran of the US Army...AIRBORNE, ALL THE WAY!

Kim Johnson

Recording Secretary
734-239-1748

Kim Johnson has been with the Local for many years now, but became our Recording Secretary when Brother Stevenson decided to retire from the USPS. Don't let her sense of calm deceive you, as she is always looking for a fight and has no problem putting the gloves on.
