Legislative Information
We have a very important piece of legislation we would like to see go to the floor for a vote. H Res 70, a bipartisan bill with the goal of keeping the Postal Service and independent establishment and not privatized. Please contact your representative and ask for their support. There are several pending resolutions we need support with. Some of the more important ones are H.Res 277, H. Res 439, and H. Res 376. These return service standards to the 2012 level, ensures the Post Office is not privatized, and ensures the Post Office still delivers to business and residential door. Recent Arbitrations and Rulings
Billy Genia recently had an arbitration in Traverse City on a reversion where management continued to use additional hours in the operation after the conversion. UPDATE. Well, we lost the TVC case. The arbitrator felt the USPS complied with the language in the CBA.
April will bring two more arbitration dates for two GR employees who have been removed. Ursula and Billy will be the advocate for the Union.
